FUNDRAISING APPEAL
I first met and began my adventure with Ron Fawcett 5 years ago. It has been an incredibly entertaining and gripping road trip: starting at his home base with his family and friends, traversing the highs and lows of his movie car business and his passion for cars - especially the Majestic Pierce Arrow - then the slow personal journey to the end of his life including his tragic loss of sight, loss of time and loss of a fight with cancer, just when he thought he could rev up the motors one more time.
Driven by Ron’s storey and his lust for life, I have personally funded the production of the documentary "For the Love of Cars". Over the years, I have submitted numerous proposals to grant programs and arts councils. I have "schmoozed" with the money people at documentary festivals and met with broadcasters - all to no avail. Many have told me they would love to see the project on completion and some have given me hope that they will make a commitment at a later stage.
"For the Love of Cars" is at the point of post-production – and now I am looking for your support. The cost of editors, composers, post-production facilities and sound mixing is beyond what I can personally fund. This is my on line fundraising drive and here are some options for your contribution.
